the broad-shouldered baluster body rising from a flat base to a short waisted neck with everted rolled rim, brightly glazed in blue, ochre, green and cream glazes with panels of cream and ochre florets reserved on a green ground divided by narrow ochre and blue bands, the glaze falling short of the foot to reveal the pinkish-buff body, the domed cover with cream and ochre splashes on a green ground and surmounted by a lotus bud finial

Provenance

A Tokyo Collection, acquired in Japan prior to the 1980s.

Condition

The jar and cover are in good condition with the exception of several small glaze flakes around the rim and body and nibbles to the edge of the un-glazed foot.
