the first  the leaf applied with cut-out couples in Turkish or Chinese dress, the sticks and guards painted in blue camaïeu with chinoiserie motifs, French, circa 1730 ; the second fan, decorated with a pavilion filled with court figures, their faces in ivory and their costume in silk, the sticks and guards carved and pierced with further courtiers, Cantonese, mid 19th century, each 28 cm, 11 in
