Condition
Both miniatures are in good condition. There a small amount of mould on each of the surfaces.

Catalogue Note
Guillaume en Bavière, naquit le 10 novembre 1752, fils de Jean de Birkenfeld-Gelnhausen, comte palatin de Birkenfeld-Gelnhausen, et de sa femme Sophie Charlotte de Salm. Il épousa la comtesse palatine Marie Anna de Zweibrücken-Birkenfeld, sœur de Maximilien I, premier roi de Bavière (voir lot 187). Le couple eut deux enfants dont la duchesse Maria Elizabeth Amalie Franziska en Bavere (1784-1849), qui épousa Louis Alexandre Berthier, premier duc de Wagram.
