A record of Fraser's diplomatic mission to Persia during the winter of 1833-34 which entailed a ride of some 2600 miles from London, by way of Constantinople to Tehran. The work gives an account of his trying and eventful journey. A description of his return journey is given in Travels in Koordistan (see lot 528).
