A first-hand account of a disastrous and badly planned voyage. Bound for Papua, where they intended to form a settlement and prospect for gold, the seventy six adventurers were shipwrecked on Bramble Reef, north Queensland. Twenty six lost their lives, a number of them at the hands of the local aborigines.
