Description
- Articles of Agreement, for carrying on an Expedition, by Hudson's Streights, for the Discovery of a North-West Passage to the Western and Southern Ocean of America. London: [Privately printed], 1745
- paper
FIRST EDITION, 8vo (195 x 120mm.), 16pp., green morocco by E. Greenhill
These articles were published at the instigation of the North-West Committee, a body of Dobbs' supporters, which managed to raise £10,000 to send an expedition to Hudson's Bay in 1745 under the command of William Moor, in the hope that it would be more successful than the controversial failure of that led by Captain Middleton. However it was also unsuccessful.
