Catalogue Note
An early unauthorised account of the Anson voyage, preceding the official version (see lot 29), and one of three similar editions published around this time (Hill 1785, 1786, and the present 1787). This edition is slightly different in that it has an appendix which details previous Pacific and Far Eastern explorations, and also contains some illustrations.
