Catalogue Note

The 1860-1861 expedition led by Robert O'Hara Burke and William John Wills took nineteen men deep into the unexplored Australian interior, crossing the continent from Melbourne in the south, to the Gulf of Carpentaria in the north. Both Burke and Wills perished on the return journey.

A number of different issues of this pamphlet were published. The issue with the folding map, as here, is rare.
