Description
- Six windows with scenes from the Passion of Christ
- leaded stained glass, set in later wood frames, some of which are painted
- German, Upper Rhine, circa 1500
representing Christ in the Garden, the Kiss of Judas, the Arrest, the Crowning of Thorns, the Crucifixion and the Deposition
Condition
There is dirt and wear to the surfaces consistent with age. There are dark dirt marks to the surfaces throughout. There are some abrasions, in particular to Christ's face and the man next to him in the Deposition scene. There are a few breaks and splits in the glass, including at: one of the lower right corner panels in the Kiss of Judas scene; the upper left corner panel of the scene with Christ(?) praying; and to the head of Christ in the Crucifixion scene. Some of the glass panels may be replaced. The scenes may have been releaded. Four of the scenes are in relatively sturdy frames, though two are in less stable wood frames. Otherwise the condition of the glass windows is good.
