Condition
Overall the condition of the ring is good with wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling. There is wear to the gilding, particularly at the beaded decoration on the shank. There are some minor losses and some pitting to the niello, including an area on the left shoulder. Part of the signet was possibly enamelled in red. The surface of the inside of the shank is rough.
