Condition

Overall the condition of the ivory is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a very small possible loss to the beard. A semi-circular section has been carved out of the bottom edge at the front (centre), probably because of the naturally occurring root canal running through the ivory. The frame is in good condition with wear at the highpoints and edges. Some of the appliques are a little loose.
