Overall the condition of the ivory is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is stable minor splitting to the ivory consistent with material, in particular to the left of Christ's neck, at His throat, below His proper right arm, and to the top of the left edge of the panel. There are some small abrasions to Christ's abdomen. There is wear to the wood frame consistent with material, particularly at the sides.
