Catalogue Note

Charles Coote (1807-1879) was a musician employed as the Duke of Devonshire's pianist. Household Songs, published by Coote and Tilney, was dedicated to Dickens and took its title from Household Words. It included six songs set by Coote including one by Mark Lemon and one by Bulwer Lytton.
