This edition was newly edited by Gwyn Jones who also contributed an essay on William Browne and the English Masque. This copy is accompanied by a collection of material relating to the production of the book, including proofs of all the engravings, including the 4 specials, lacking the plate facing p.7; typescripts of the body of the text and the notes; galley proofs and page proofs at various stages of production, much of this material annotated by hand; also the prospectus, various sheets of notes, cloth samples and letters signed to and from the binders.
