Catalogue Note

Secret Despatches from Arabia contains political summaries written by T.E. Lawrence and initially printed in 'The Arab Bulletin', a highly restricted document circulated to as few as 20 civil, military or naval personnel within the Foreign Office, War Office and Admiralty. Lawrence used these despatches as background material for The Seven Pillars of Wisdom. This was the first in a highly successful and profitable series of original works on Arabia, 'The Arab Series'.
