Lord Adrian was the last book issued by the Golden Cockerel Press at Waltham St Lawrence under the ownership of Robert Gibbings. In August 1933 the Press was bought by Christopher Sandford, Owen Rutter and Francis Newbery and production moved to Staple Inn, London.
