i) "He rolled at us!", 95 by 125mm., ink and monochrome watercolour drawing, unsigned; [together with:] ii) "Toby Dog went away like-smoke", 130 by 100mm., ink and monochrome watercolour drawing with gouache correction, signed with initials lower right; iii) "I am no Hound any more", 120 by 140mm., ink and monochrome watercolour drawing, signed with initials and dated lower left; iv) "Dinah sitting beside Jock, wondering why her Lover, King, and God did all these noisy things", 200 by 145mm., ink and monochrome watercolour drawing, signed and dated lower right; v) "Second Dog Book", 180 by 125mm., coloured pencil drawing, signed with initials lower right, some pin holes

The first three illustrations are from ‘Toby Dog’ published in Kipling’s Thy Servant a Dog (Macmillan, 1930) on pages 71, 72 and 82 respectively. The fourth illustration is from ‘The Woman in his Life’ from Kipling’s Collected Dog Stories (Macmillan, 1934) and published on page 155. Publication of the fifth illustration is currently untraced.
