Catalogue Note

The last of Gill's work for the Golden Cockerel Press. Loosely inserted is an autography letter signed ("Mary Gill") to Owen Rutter noting that "the engravings seem to be a happy interpreation of my husband's drawings, and have retained his delicate line" (1 page, 6 January 1942).
