Catalogue Note
Originally printed in 1929, as an inset for The Fleuron, being the first specimen of Perpetua type. Cleverdon published the present version, with burnished gold on page 20, in an edition of 30 copies signed by Gill. The present copy lacks the signature or limitation, but reveals a variant setting of the title-page and Cleverdon's bookplate. A prospectus is loosely inserted.
