small 4to, trial copy inscribed by Robert Graves ("Louise with | love from | Robert | (printer + publisher).") on preliminary blank, no limitation note, original buckram without lettering, soiling to the spine

The Seizin Press was founded by Robert Graves and Laura Riding in 1927. 'Seizin One' was a work by Riding, this volume was 'seizin two' and Graves' Poems 1929 was 'seizin three'. Robert A. Wilson in his bibliography of Stein notes that "at least one trial copy is known in full binding, but printed on wood pulp paper instead of the heavy rag paper used for the edition. This copy does not carry the limitation label."
