Substantial collection of culinary recipes, mostly in a single hand, 208 numbered pages with contemporary index, with another c.50 pages added, some leaves inserted, also with 16 pages of printed recipes inserted, 4to, one page dated 1812, green morocco backed marbled boards, covers heavily worn; “The Honourable Mrs Graham Toller’s Receipt Book”, culinary and medical receipts, c.115 pages, including numerous slips of paper pinned into the volume, 4to, paper watermarked 1814, holes in four pages; [Francis Collingwood], “The Universal Cook”, fair copy of a printed collection of culinary recipes (first published in 1792) divided into 31 chapters, 307 numbered pages in a single clear hand with an additional 28 pages of recipes in different hands, 4to, paper watermarked 1817, calf, ownership inscription of Henrietta Massey, rebacked, together with a second volume of recipes, c.86 pages, 4to, early nineteenth century, in modern half calf, the pair housed together in a green folding box labelled “Fair copy of nineteenth century cookery book with manuscript book of receipts”; early nineteenth century collection of culinary recipes, c.26 pages, plus blanks, small 8vo, half morocco, c.1820s; notebook of culinary and medical receipts, c.30 pages, in marbled wrappers, with a chemistry notebook with detailed notes on the properties of various substances, housed together in a folding box labelled “Manuscript Herbal and Cookery Book in two volumes, circa 1820-1842”; “Book for the Household”, collection of culinary recipes, a mixture of cuttings and hand-written entries, c.40 pages, 12mo, early twentieth century; general wear and tear
