Original canvas. There appear to be some pinholes along the extreme edges of the composition which may be the result of the artist's working method. There are two additional pinholes beside the table to the right of the figure. There is a small horizontal line of paint cracking in the upper left of the composition and surface dirt and matter throughout. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of florescence or retouching. The work is presented in a gilt frame.
