Condition
Portrait of Bendor, 2nd Duke of Westminster
The artist's board is not laid down. When viewed out of the mount there is evidence of time staining to the exposed part of the sheet which appears to be consistent with damage caused by exposure to ultraviolet light. There is also some slight discolouration to the extreme edge of the sheet. In addition to this there is some very minor surface dirt in areas across the sheet. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good condition.
Portrait of Loelia Mary, Duchess of Westminster
The artist's board is not laid down. The sheet appears to have discoloured slightly as a result of exposure to ultraviolet light. This is particularly prominent in two horizontal bands that run across the centre of the composition. There is some light surface dirt and studio detritus across the composition. With the exception of this the work appears to be in very good condition.
Both works are presented in ornate gilt frames.
