- silver, gold, amethyst, diamonds
- Mid 19th century composite.
set with a pear-shaped cabochon amethyst within a foliate frame of circular-cut and rose diamonds, later brooch pin and pendent fitting to reverse, one diamond deficient
Condition
Mounted in silver and gold. Mid C19th composite, possibly originally the pendant drop of a larger brooch. Later brooch pin with safety catch to the reverse. Diamonds bright and lively with mixed colours and clarities, one diamond deficient. Amethyst medium deep purple with good clarity weighing 58.31 carats, loose in mount.
Please note brooch illustrated larger than actual size, actual length approximately 4cm.
