Condition
The watercolour is in good condition. It is slightly dirty. Several scratches are visible in the ceiling and above the two figure at the right hand part.Several small tears and a few wearing off of watercolour are visible in the lower corners .

Catalogue Note
On connait un autre projet de décor par Antoine-Marie Chenavard (cf, vente Chrisitie's , Londres, 20 novembre 2008, lot 624) et daté, comme notre aquarelle, du début de la carrière de l'artiste. On doit à cet architecte le grand théâtre de Lyon
