Artist's inscription: Ancient pines cling to snow-clad peaks; the moon shines on dogged lichen. Men hope for bushy eyebrows; All life longs to linger on the stage of time. Where the mountains reach within an inch of heaven, there once were fields of mulberries and shining sea. But all turns to dust and departs on the wind. Meanwhile only snow visits me in the winter.
