Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The texture of the surface is uneven, which is inherent to the artist's working method. There are fingerprints along the edges of both the right and left sides of the work, which are visible under raking light. There is minor wear and accretions along the very top edge of the shorter rod, which is likely due to the element leaning against the shelf. There are signs of handling and wear along the bottom edge of the work. All elements of the work are intact and rest securely on the shelves.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion.
