Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling at the edges, particularly towards the bottom of the canvas where there are abrasions visible. There are a few minute spots of loss in the bottom right quadrant of the work. There are scattered spots of artist-applied varnish, which fluoresce brightly under Ultraviolet light. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there are scattered spots which fluoresce darkly and appear to be the result of restoration, including spots in the bottom left quadrant, in the center toward the top, and a larger 8 inch diagonal area in the upper left quadrant, which is the restoration of a repaired tear. There is slight hairline craquelure in the upper right corner that has been consolidated and fluoresces darkly under Ultraviolet light. Unframed.
