Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The edges of the canvas are taped. There is evidence of light wear and handling to the edges. There are some light and scattered abrasions and accretions present in the lower area of the canvas. Loose application of paint means that empty spaces are inherent to the painting's creation. There is some hairline craquelure in the white-painted area, where the impasto is thickest. In the gray-painted area and in the top of the black figure, there is evidence of very minor paint loss. Under Ultraviolet light inspection there are four drip accretions which fluoresce brightly but there is no evidence of restoration. Framed.
