Condition

This work is in excellent condition overall. There is a slight undulation to the bottom edge of the sheet. What appears to be a dark accretion on the far left edge of the image, just to the left and beneath the horse's mouth, is inherent to the print and is only visible when viewing the work outside of the frame and beneath matte. The sheet is hinged to the matte in the top left and right corners. Framed under Plexiglas.

Catalogue Note

"Oceans without surfers, cowboys without Marlboros…Even though I’m aware of the classicism of the images I seem to go after images that I don’t quite believe. And, I try to re-present them even more unbelievably." Richard Prince, 1998
