Condition

This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling along the edges causing some hairline cracquelure at the pull margins, which is hidden beneath the frame. There is scattered craquelure in the yellow element, most notably a diagonal hairline crack in the bottom right corner. There are light surface abraisons scattered throughout. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there are scattered areas in the blue painted portion which fluoresce darkly and may be the result of restoration. There are scattered areas in the upper right quadrant of the yellow painted portion which fluoresce brightly and may be the result of a layer of varnish. The overall tonality of the yellow painted portion is uneven and these parts flouresce darkly, possibly the result of restoration. Framed under glass.
