Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality of the painted elements is brighter and more vibrant, and the wooden elements tend more towards cherry wood and are varnished.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is some evidence of wear to the upper left and right and lower right corner tips of the masonite. There are two minute specks of paint loss to the centre of the upper and right edges. There are some irregularities to the edges of the wooden elements, which are likely to be part of the artist's working process. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
