Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly richer in the original. The catalogue illustration also fails to fully convey the rich texture of the thick impasto in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note

"No matter how earnest, how sentimental or dark my work has gotten, humor has always been present, and I think it has often misled the audience into thinking I am making fun of something or someone or simply making a joke. Nothing could be further from the truth. I make things that represent the most honest pieces to me."
