Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although they fail to convey the vibrant hues of the IKB pigment apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Visible beneath the mount, there is discolouration and some media accretions along the borders of the sheet. There is some light burnishing to some of the raised pigment.

Catalogue Note

"Each blue world of each painting, although the same blue and treated in the same way, presented a completely different essence and atmosphere. None resembled any other - no more than pictorial moments resemble each other - although all were of the same superior and subtle nature (marked by the immaterial)."
