Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals light wear along the lower edge and to the lower corner tips. There is some very light discolouration to the lower edge of the composition. Further close inspection reveals three tiny specks of paint loss, one to the right edge at the centre of the lower right quadrant, and two towards the centre of the lower right quadrant. Visible only upon extremely close inspection are some very fine and stable drying cracks in the thinner areas of white pigment. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals four spots of fluorescence; one to the top left corner tip, another to the upper left quadrant towards the left edge, and two further minute areas in the lower right quadrant on the right edge.
