Condition
Overall the condition of the bronzes is good with dirt and wear to the surfaces consistent with age. The bronzes have been weighted with lead, which is visible to the undersides. They are inserted into their bases with modern metal dowels. There is wear to the old laquers throughout, especially to Juno's face, back and thighs. There are some minor fissures, including to Jupiter's legs. There is an old pin to Juno's head.

These attractive bronzes relate to the work of a number of important sculptors operating in Venice and the Veneto in the late 16th century, notably Alessandro Vittoria, Girolamo Campagna and Tiziano Aspetti.
