the horse standing four-square on a rectangular base and glazed in a rich ochre colour, the rider wearing a long green-glazed tunic

Eskenazi, Milan, 1988

Condition

All four legs of the horse have been broken and repaired, with traces of overpainting visible to the lower legs and the top of the right foreleg. The left ear of the horse has been broken and restuck. The rider also shows considerable restoration. The chignon and possibly the head have been broken and restuck, the green robe has extensive areas of overpaint. Other minor glaze firing imperfections.
