Description

seated cross-legged on a double lotus base, wearing a brightly glazed long flowing scarf around the shoulders and a five-pointed head-dress

Condition

There are areas of restoration, particularly to the extremities such as the finial of the chignon, the five-leaf diadem, the fingers, the floral branch hanging from the frontal base. There are some losses to the floral stem held in the bodhisattva's left hand, the beaded decoration and a 0.3x0.4cm chip to one side of the base near the top. There are other losses/chips to the extremities (including but not limited to the hair tassel, headdress and chignon). General enamel wear and glaze firing imperfections including firing cracks, iron spots, burst glaze bubbles etc.
