the beast sat on an oblong plinth with head turned to the left, covered overall with a bright turquoise glaze

Condition

The tip of both antlers have been broken, with one section restuck and another section missing. One ear has been broken and restuck, traces of glue and overpainting visible. The left nostril of the deer may have been restored, with glaze inconsistencies, numerous burst glaze bubbles and frits. Minor nibbling along the extremities. There are other glazing firing imperfections.
