Description

the broad rounded shoulders rising from a spreading foot to a short neck, gilt-decorated around the exterior with large floral blooms issuing from rockwork, the domed cover with lotus bud finial
Condition
The jar has a 30cm rim crack with associated chips, visible on both sides of the body. There is a star crack near it near the bottom of the body, longest branch measuring approx. 6cm and more visible from the interior. The cover has a 1.5x0.5cm rim chip, and drilled with three holes on each side. There is general rubbing to the gilded decoration, surface scratchings and minor glaze firing imperfections.
