  • Framed: 69.5cm. high, 45cm. wide; 2ft. 3in., 1ft. 5in: Textile 52cm. high, 28cm. wide; 1ft. 8in., 11in
each fragment woven with flowers and foliage, against a brown ground, each mounted within a glazed wooden frame

Condition

Muted colours overall. Some small repairs, commensurate with age. Lower right corner of one of the panels has small repaired split in the brown/black ground. Stable condition overall. Both tapestry fragments being from vertical borders have blue inner and outer narrow edges and associated paler blue borders attached across the upper and lower edges, all edges applied with metal-ribbon. Reverse of frame applied with label from O'Shea Gallery, 120A Mount Street, London. Specialist Comment: Very decorative pieces, and the textiles are protected as mounted and glazed. Would need to place out of direct sunlight.
