both depicted standing on a bed of scrolling clouds, one wearing a loose fitting robe hanging on one shoulder revealing his pronounced ribcage, the right arm raised holding a scroll, the other with both arms raised, dressed in long robes opening at the chest revealing his large belly

Condition

The figure holding the scroll has a (raised) broken arm and hand which had been restuck, the arm and shoulder covered in overpaint. The fingers and the scroll are also restored. Some glaze firing imperfections. The other figure holding the fan has a broken right arm which has been restuck, with traces of yellowed glue. The stem of the fan is lost. Glaze firing imperfections such as kiln grits, burst glaze bubbles, fire cracks and iron spots.
