Description

comprising three baluster vases and covers, a beaker vase, and another Samson replacement beaker vase, each brightly painted with fruiting and flowering trees issuing from pierced rocks on a ground of swirls

Condition

One baluster vase has minor frits to the rim, and a 4x1cm area of loss to the foot. The second baluster vase with minor chips/frits to the rim, the largest measuring 0.8x0.3cm. The third baluster vase has restoration in the area above one side of the foot, there is a chip to one canted corner (0.7x0.3cm). One cover is restored. There are general fritting and chips to all three covers. One beaker vase has the rim and half of the neck heavily restored with associated chips. The Samson beaker vase has a 1.3x1.3cm T-shaped chip to the rim. There are firing imperfections, general enamel flakes and surface wear.
