Description

the pair of butter tubs modelled as baskets on fixed scroll edged stands, the covers moulded in the form of fruit with pear finials, the other butter tub painted with a formal blue border to the inside rim, with a flower encrusted cover and a lemon finial, with an A K over a star mark in underglaze-blue for Albertus Kiell of the De Witte Starre factory

Condition

In generally good condition, there are some typical rim nibbles resulting in some glaze loss. The flower encrusted cover has one flower peten re-stuck, a section of branch missing and some nibbles.
