Description

elaborately formed with a brightly painted polychrome scroll and flower rim reserving vignettes of figures in landscapes in blue, around an octagonal shaped bowl, moulded with a thumb and chin rest, 

Provenance

the reverse with a paper label bearing the arms of the Earl of Perrée de la Villestreux with the motto "MARE NASCITUR FORTITUDO / EX MUSEO DE LA VILLESTREUX"

Condition

There is a chip to the one tip of the chin rest. There are typical nibble chips to the glaze along the rim.
