one Japanese export and decorated with mother of pearl inlay the other Chinese export with gilt-decoration, containing eight pressed gilt ink sticks

The Japanese export box in overall good condition with minor losses to the mother of pearl inlay, and some small marks and chips to the lacquer consistent with age and use.
