- Three silver and coloured gold snuff boxes, Paris, third quarter of 18th century
- silver, gold
- first and second 7.9 cm., 3 1/8 in. ; second 8.9 cm, 3 1/2 in. ; 317gr., 10oz 2dwt
two of ingot form, each applied in coloured golds with flower sprays or houses on patterned grounds, each Charles Le Bastier, the first, charge and discharge of Eloi Brichard, 1761, numbered inside lid: 1076, the second, charge and discharge of Jean-Jacques Prévost (1762-1768), numbered inside lid: 1732 ; the third, of navette form, applied with trophies on a scrolled ground, probably Jacques-Charles Morée, charge and discharge of Eloi Brichard, 1762, the first and third also struck with contremarque of J.J. Prévost
Condition
The first with later control marks and re-gilt interior. Clear marks overall, some wear to highlights particularly on the last box but overall good condition.
