Condition

The mounts on this piece are later. Leather inset top appears to be original and thus shows signs of great age and use. The ebony surface generally in good condition, although there are areas of small repair, and some small patches to the veneer and some painted re-touching. There are some localised areas of discolouration. There is evidence of worm to the carcase. The gilding to the mounts are slightly tarnished, they are though in good order. Typical old marks and scratches thoughout.
