Condition
The panel has a thick lattice cradling, recently applied. It is stable, with no splits. There is some horizontal craquelure on the lower part and very fine lines fo infilling in the upper right sky. Inspection under UV reveals spots of retouching: above the chimney on the left
This lot is offered in a wood frame, the middle band overlaid with walnut, in good condition.

Janson moved from Indonesia to Holland and in 1761 joined the Guild in Leyden. He painted landscapes and village scenes in the style of seventeenth-century Dutch artists such as Paulus Potter.
