Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The bronze is cast in sections and some stable original slightly open joints are visible, including at the bases of the stags horns and where the foliage meets the animal's bodies at the proper right side. The stag's antlers are slightly loose. The bronze was probably mounted on a now lost marble base.
